By collaborating with us, our clients come to a clearer understanding of themselves as they develop a variety of tools to express their brand. Our purpose: To connect your enterprise with your target audiences to advance your goals, whether for increased reputation, recruitment, or financial support.

Do you have a new project that needs an award-winning creative team?

Edit Barry
Partner, strategy

Edit is a creative consultant, a brand and content strategist, a message and information architect, and a fluent translator of brand strategy into creative execution who, at the beginning of every new relationship, tells people about her name. (It's Hebrew. It's pronounced "ee-DEET." It means "the best." She aims to live up to it.) A professional writer, Edit has written everything from taglines to tomes. A keen listener, she talks to everyone from students to donors to industry leaders before shaping ideas into messages that speak to every audience. Her sensitive ear and analytical mind prove themselves in spot-on deliverables that are relevant, authentic, and distinctive.

Since 2007, Edit has created effective print and web communications for clients such as The Blake School, Brooklyn College, DePauw University, Grace Episcopal Day School, The Lauder Institute, Pomona College, Tufts University, Wittenberg University and many others. From admission publications to websites to campaign case statements, her work is always thoughtful, precise, and true to the institution.

Edit earned a B.A. magna cum laude from Amherst College in English and interdisciplinary studies and an M.A. in political science from Johns Hopkins University. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

ALLISON LE
Partner, design

As E&Aco's Creative Director, Allison develops logos, visual identity systems, and collateral that builds and bolsters brands across platforms. Those who work with her know her as a disciplined creative whose choices are as purposeful as they are aesthetically pleasing. Those who work beside her know that her desk is as uncluttered as her designs.

Over the past decade, Allison has developed brands for The Blake School, Brooklyn College, DePauw University, Lafayette College, and Middlebury College, and designed admission recruitment campaigns and fundraising campaigns for schools and nonprofits. She has also designed large-scale graphics and interactive installations for George Washington University, Virginia Tech, University of Houston, University of North Carolina, and the Maryland Food Bank. She has art directed photo shoots and press-checked print runs at locations from coast to coast. Whatever project she approaches, she uses typography, color, imagery, and layout to visualize the soul of a brand and bring it to life in the form of ink, paper, and pixels.

Allison earned a B.A. in design and art history cum laude from George Washington University, where she got her start as a graphic designer in the communications office.

Testimonials

What Our Clients Say

Without the structural foundation that E&A built for our Having Light campaign, we never would have gotten where we did. Through interviews, an alumni survey, campaign committee feedback, and the whole process of drafting and revising the case, E&A’s process got us to the right priorities — priorities that fit with who our alumni are. E&A value the end product, and they truly care. They invested in the project and our people, and that’s a huge part of the success that we had. E&A was not just a firm; it felt like an extension of the team. And it shows. We did it!
— Rebecca Kocher, Vice President of Advancement & Alumni Engagement, Wittenberg University
To support our enrollment efforts, I needed partners I could trust from start to finish, and that is exactly what I found at E&A. After intensive qualitative discovery, Edit and Allison were able to tell our story in an authentic way, with genuine thought and care put into each page. And the end product speaks for itself. We have memorable admission material and a rich communication flow that clearly shares who we are.
— Carola Thorson, Vice President for Enrollment Management, Wittenberg University

From a site visit, to interviews with our parents, to conversations with our staff and leadership, Edit was completely invested in understanding our community and in helping us identify — and communicate — what makes it different and special. From arresting taglines to in-depth descriptions of curricular approaches, everything Edit created expressed our identity perfectly.
— Karen O'Connor-Floman, Director of Admission, Grace Episcopal Day School

Allison and Edit’s years of experience, clear talent in design and content writing, collaborative personalities, and overall quality in the final results all combine to make the ideal creative partnership. They also understand marketing to prospective student and parent audiences — their knowledge and experience in this higher ed market was invaluable.
— Luigi Solla, Associate Dean of Admission, Wesleyan University
